Spring Cherries

Hello all!

So I haven't posted in quite some time and I realize that I probably should post more frequently. I've had a hard time finding the time to take pictures which just absolutely has been killing me. I've been trying to edit and play around with some of my older photographs but there has been some lack of inspiration. Recently (last Saturday to be exact) my roommate and I took a nice trip to the Hoyt Arboretum in Washington Park where there was some beautiful cherry blossoms blooming. Its been so beautiful here in Portland recently so it was the perfect day to take some pictures!

This month also marks a year sense a very good friend of mine passed away from cancer. John Butcher was my inspiration to pursue photography he believed in my abilities and fueled my passion. He was the one who gave me my Canon 5D and I think about him with every picture I take with it. Its one of my most prized possessions and I hold it close to my heart. Every photograph is a dedication to him and his belief in me. He was in inspiration not only for my photography but as a person. He was an inspiration to smile on days that were gray, to laugh on days that were blue, to be kind to those around you, and to never leave your house without a camera because you never know when a good moment to photograph will present itself. With that being said, John Butcher I miss you with all my might and not a day has gone by when don't think about you and your laugh and the way you touched the heart of every person and dog around you.  Thank you John.

Thank you for everything John Butcher.
